Job Title Assistant, Marketing Company Overview Warner Music Group is a global music company with a diverse roster of artists and labels. The Marketing department focuses on market research, advertising, and dissemination of information for releases. About the Role As a marketing assistant you will support the setup, execution, and delivery of innovative marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include building marketing decks, handling administrative tasks, asset management, scheduling releases, and creating marketing materials. Responsibilities Administrative tasks including scheduling internal and external meetings, processing expense reports, coordinating travel, processing invoices, ordering supplies, conducting mailings, and managing executive calendars. Create and update artist one‑sheets, hype sheets, fact sheets, and timelines. Assist in the development and execution of artist marketing plans, participate in meetings, create pitch decks, and communicate with departments. Schedule all product releases and ensure production deadlines are met. Pull, analyze, and distribute weekly Soundscan, Mediabase, Tableau, and Music Connect reports. Maintain, organize, and distribute artists’ assets. Coordinate with the creative department to create graphics, print ads, hype sheets, posters, stickers, and digital assets. Write copy for promotional assets including one‑sheets, stickers, posters, and print ads. Plan and implement artist events such as listening sessions and release parties, coordinating vendors, maintaining a budget, crafting promotional material, and providing on‑site support. Liaise with third‑party marketing and street team companies to create and distribute marketing tools. Process invoices by setting up vendors, coding invoices in financial systems, and corresponding with vendors to ensure payment. Attend meetings, take notes, and prepare materials to circulate before and after meetings. Support relationships with lifestyle and strategic brands for event production and marketing. Collate artist budget requests weekly. Update roster contact list for core team members, artist management, and vendors. About You Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Extremely detail‑oriented and organized. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure with a sense of urgency. Proactive self‑starter. Online research skills. Outstanding writing skills. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop. Desired Qualifications Background in Marketing (degree or 1+ year of relevant experience in the music and/or entertainment industry). Proven reliability, responsibility, confidence, and ability to handle pressure. Hunger to learn overall operations of a record company. Ability to quickly administer and fulfill day‑to‑day requests. Connections in culture and relationships with external entities/brands that could yield development opportunities for artists. Comprehensive experience with Mac platforms. Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail). Professional experience using social media and knowledge of trends. Own network of industry and creative contacts.
