Role Overview

The Scrum Master is responsible for guiding Agile teams in applying Scrum principles, removing barriers to progress, and enabling continuous improvement. This role partners closely with Product Owners, cross-functional teams, and leadership to ensure delivery of products that meet business value objectives. The Scrum Master serves as a servant-leader, coach, and facilitator to help teams work efficiently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Ensure the team maintains a healthy product backlog, sprint backlog, and definition of done.
• Coach the team to adopt Agile values, mindset, and principles.
• Support team members in understanding their roles and in working collaboratively.
• Identify and remove obstacles that hinder team progress, escalating issues when necessary.
• Track sprint progress and monitor delivery metrics such as velocity and burndown.
• Partner with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
• Facilitate communication between the team and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in Agile or Scrum roles, with a background working with cross-functional software or business teams.

Skills:

• Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to coach teams and individuals at varying levels of Agile maturity.
• Conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities.
• Servant-leadership mindset with empathy and emotional intelligence.

Technical Skills: Experience with JIRA and other Agile project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II)
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
• Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC)

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated pay rate for this position is $68.00 to $73.94 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
