About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Care Unit Registered Nurse – Kansas

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Leawood, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed preferred, 3 shifts per week, every third weekend required

Highlights:

• 28-bed Cardiovascular Care Unit specializing in acute cardiac care, cath lab post-procedures (ablations, PFO closures, stents, pacers), stroke patients, and progressive care overflow
• Patient ratio of 4-5:1 with dedicated unit technicians and unencumbered charge nurse support
• Utilize Meditech EBC documentation system and state-of-the-art cardiac monitoring equipment
• Collaborative team environment with highly engaged cardiology physicians, cath lab staff, and clinical educators
• Float opportunities to similar units including Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Observation, and Rehab
• Facility recognized as a CP Center, Primary Stroke Center, and multiple Centers of Excellence

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Kansas or ability to obtain
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Cardiac or telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Strong team orientation and commitment to patient-centered care
