Controller

A well-established global consumer organization is seeking an accomplished Controller to lead its accounting function and partner closely with executive leadership.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a hands-on accounting executive who has operated within a sophisticated, recognizable organization and is excited by the opportunity to bring that experience into a more entrepreneurial environment.

The Controller will own the accounting function, lead and develop the team, strengthen financial processes and controls, and help modernize the organization's accounting infrastructure.

What You'll Own

• Lead all accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Own financial reporting and ensure accurate, timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while establishing clear accountability and review processes
• Oversee consolidations across multiple entities and support international accounting activities
• Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership on financial performance and business initiatives
• Manage external audit relationships and annual audit preparation
• Oversee cash management, treasury, payroll, tax coordination, and other core accounting functions
• Evaluate existing systems and processes and play a key role in future ERP modernization
• Develop scalable accounting processes to support continued growth

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant leadership responsibility
• Current or previous Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting, or comparable accounting leadership experience
• Experience within a large, sophisticated, recognizable organization strongly preferred
• Strong technical accounting foundation with deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Demonstrated ownership of financial close, reporting, audits, controls, and multi-entity accounting
• Track record of improving accounting processes, systems, and team performance
• Experience leading and developing accounting professionals
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a leaner environment
• Strong executive communication skills and experience partnering with senior leadership
• ERP implementation or transformation experience is highly desirable
• CPA strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
