Become a Key Player as a Machinist Senior

You will operate production CNC machines on the 3rd shift to produce high-quality machined parts for aerospace components. You will work onsite, Sunday-Thursday nights (10:15 PM-6:15 AM), collaborating with production and quality teams to meet production schedules and continuous improvement goals. Your work directly impacts throughput, part conformity, and process efficiency for the organization.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

• Set up and run production machines, performing operations such as cutting, shaping, drilling, reaming, tapping, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring
• Make machine adjustments and report improper functioning or cutting action for correction
• Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures and established methods; adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to meet quality documentation
• Deburr and finish parts; visually and instrumentally inspect parts for conformance to specifications using gauges, comparators, and magnification equipment
• Routinely maintain equipment to ensure cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability
• Accurately perform statistical process control (SPC) and participate in lean initiatives to identify and implement improvements
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, orderly work area

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating lathes and mills
• Hands-on experience with Okuma, Nakamura, and Haas machines
• Experience with 5-axis and turret machining
• CNC experience explicitly listed on your resume
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics (may include trigonometry)
• Demonstrated ability to apply lean concepts and work effectively in a team
• Ability to stand, walk, and use manual dexterity for extended periods; may lift up to 50 lbs
