Licensed Practical Nurse or LPN Graduate Cardiac Medical Intermediate 4A

Overview Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details Schedule: Nurses work 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am rotations weekends/holidays. Incentives: New Grad $2,000 Sign On Bonus (nightshift only); 1-2 years’ LPN experience – $5,000 Sign On Bonus (nightshift only); 3-4 years’ LPN experience – $7,000 Sign On Bonus (nightshift only); 5+ years’ LPN experience – $10,000 Sign On Bonus (nightshift only). Education Assistance: Tuition Reimbursement $2,000 per year, $30k in initial RN degree assistance, $3,000. Relocation Assistance for full time only. Weekend Differential Shift Differential for qualifying hours between 3pm-7am. Weekend Option Days: WEO rates + weekend differential. Weekend Option Nights: WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential. New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $8.00. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration for comparable education experience and successful licensure. Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state; meet all State Board of Nursing requirements. Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN. Certifications: LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing; Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Clinical skills: Telemetry Monitoring, Pacemaker/ICA Care, Post Angio Care, TR Band 5, Main Medication Drips. Experience in a 4A Cardiac Unit: focuses on CHF, Chest pain, drug load, pre CABG, pre TAVR, Angio with stents, BKS, AKA and med/surg overflow patients.
