Ortho Registered Nurse (RN)

Pay Range: $34.00 - $51.00 Position Overview Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Multispecialty Care team. The role is located at St John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL and is scheduled on a PRN basis. Responsibilities Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promote and restore patient health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support, and supervising assigned team members. Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patients, friends, and families about their condition, medications, and self‑care skills, and answering questions. Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred. Experience Experience in healthcare is preferred. Licenses and Certifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice. RNs may practice with a valid multi‑state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Schedule PRN (as needed). Scheduled weekly hours: 0.
