Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Ortho 3C

Overview Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details Nurses work 12‑hour shifts (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am) with rotational weekends. Sign‑on bonus (night shift only): $5,000 for 1–2yrs RN experience; $13,000 for 3–4yrs; $15,000 for 5+yrs. Sign‑on bonus (day shift): $20,000. Education assistance: up to $20,000 loan forgiveness (new grad nurses), tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per year, $3,000 relocation assistance (full‑time only). Weekend differential: shift differential for qualifying hours between 3pm–7am; WEO rates + weekend differential for day option; WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential for night option; new increased weekend option differential $10.00. Day‑one comprehensive medical, dental & vision insurance. PTO/vacation (frontload up to 80hrs for experienced RNs, full‑time only). Employer‑matched retirement funds. Qualifications Graduated or upcoming graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. Current RN license (state or compact). Must maintain license during employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30days of hire. Physical Requirements Push, pull, or lift up to 50pounds on a regular basis. Prolonged standing and walking each shift. Grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties. Unit Information This position is located in Unit 3C – a surgical unit focused on adult post‑operative orthopedic trauma and neurosurgery.
