Requirements

Experience with running an extensive event program is essential. To be suitable for this role, the candidate will need marketing B2B experience, excellent project management and coordination skills, strong communication (verbal/written) knowledge and application of digital marketing techniques, including social media. Oversee all aspects of event planning and management.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Have an excellent understanding of the B2B events landscape
• Proven results in planning and participating in 3K+ conferences
• Experience in negotiating deals with suppliers and contractors
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – a true 'people person' happy to talk to anyone and everyone
• Strong multi-tasker with experience of juggling numerous projects and deadlines
• Self-starter, able to work autonomously and as part of a busy team
• Strong copywriting skills, i.e. competence in writing, grammar and editing skills in English
• First-class organizational and administrative skills, the ability to juggle multiple tasks
• Excellent time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity
• Happy in a quickfire work environment where internal/external requests can demand a flexible approach to daily routine
• Willingness to travel and attend events
• Willing to work outside of core hours when required
• Marketing Knowledge/proven work experience as an Events Manager
• Experience using social media for business
• Confident presentation and speaking skills

Responsibilities

• Find and make first contact with suitable events and suppliers
• Attend events, manage on-site teams, and exceed event brief expectations
• Collaborate with conference organizers for company marketing and promotions
• Evaluate event performance and generate reports
• Create event proposals and present them within deadlines
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• Coordinate and participate at event activities
• Request invoices, coordinate payments, and create comprehensive reports
• Manage and oversee events on the day, including problem-solving and vendor coordination
• Collaborate with marketing team to create effective advertisements and marketing materials
• Anticipate and plan for different event scenarios
• Generate lead opportunities during events
• Plan multiple events simultaneously
• Contribute to creative ideas and proposals
• Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams
• Plan pre and post-event details meticulously
