Lead Software Engineer - Cloud/AI & BI

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience
• Daily, hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor
• Practical experience building AI/ML-powered features or products, including RAG systems, AI agents, prompt engineering, or production or near-production LLM integrations
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Django or another web backend framework
• Experience with React or another modern UI framework
• Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles
• Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
• Ability to adapt and deliver effectively in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, evidence-based approach to decisions
• Preferred: Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or Google ADK
• Preferred: Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or Chroma, and embedding models
• Preferred: Understanding of LLM evaluation, guardrails, and responsible AI practices, including accuracy, cost, bias, and data privacy
• Preferred: Exposure to data engineering tools and platforms, especially Databricks
• Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Preferred: Knowledge of Azure or GCP

• Use AI-powered coding assistants in daily development to write, review, debug, and refactor code efficiently
• Critically validate and refine AI-generated work, applying sound engineering judgment
• Assess emerging AI tools and techniques and promote adoption when they improve productivity and quality
• Design, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions, including RAG pipelines, agentic systems, and LLM-powered workflows
• Architect production-ready AI systems with attention to scalability, cost, latency, privacy, hallucination mitigation, and observability
• Build agentic solutions with enterprise-grade identity, guardrails, and tracing
• Develop secure, high-quality production software; troubleshoot technical issues and review and debug others code
• Apply end-to-end systems thinking across connected components and distributed systems
• Find ways to prevent or automate the remediation of recurring issues and strengthen operational stability
• Lead evaluations with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectures, technical capabilities, and fit with existing systems
• Align stakeholders across teams and take end-to-end accountability for outcomes
• Contribute as a core technical member of an agile team, delivering trusted, secure, stable, and scalable technology solutions across technical areas
