PSYC 220: Introductory Statistics in Psychology Position: Lecturer Semester: Fall 2026 Day/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. Modality: In-Person College: College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral and Social Sciences Department: Psychology The Department of Psychology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part‑time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach PSYC 220: Introductory Statistics in Psychology. Salary is commensurate with credential and experience. Course description Basic statistical methods for analysis of data in psychology; descriptive and inferential statistics; hypothesis testing; parametric tests of significance. Introduction to linear regression and correlation; analysis of variance; non‑parametric techniques. The role will also involve participation in low‑risk psychological experiments or completion of additional short papers. Minimum qualifications A master’s degree in psychology or a relevant field Successful experience teaching at the college level Work in California is a condition of employment Preferred qualifications A doctorate in Psychology or a relevant field Higher education experience teaching a particular class Research experience relevant to the specific course content Preference for applicants demonstrating intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and service Salary Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
