Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite in our state-of-the-art facility, which spans 5,000 square feet equipped with the latest technology for physical rehabilitation. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced approach to patient care and personal well-being. You will join a collaborative team consisting of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), who are all committed to delivering high-quality, individualized treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and establish treatment goals for patients with orthopedic conditions, ensuring a personalized approach to rehabilitation.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans utilizing a variety of treatment techniques that may include manual therapy, exercise therapy, and educational strategies.
• Maintain an efficient patient load, averaging one patient per hour, while ensuring that all treatments are documented meticulously for continuity of care.
• Utilize EMR software, such as WebPT, to track progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Motivate and empower patients throughout their recovery to enhance their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall functional abilities.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss treatment protocols and patient progress, promoting an integrated approach to care.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment effects, including patient improvement and response to interventions, regularly updating treatment strategies as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients with orthopedic conditions who typically possess private medical insurance. You will work with individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and various musculoskeletal disorders. This role gives you the chance to foster meaningful relationships with patients, guiding them through their recovery journeys while enhancing their functional performance.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; advanced degrees or certifications (DPT) are preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no recorded disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of therapeutic exercise programming.
• Strong communication skills for effective patient interactions and inter-professional collaboration.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records, specifically EMR systems such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Track record of implementing successful treatment protocols tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
