Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Lafayette, IN Duration: Multi Year contract Client: Caterpillar
Role: Support large engine development. Support assembly section. Support assembly documentation (Standard work, Control plans, FMEAs including SFMEA(safety) etc). Support NPI engineer. Work on continuous improvement (CI) cards. Could be tooling design issue or process related. Design new tooling if needed. Write requisition for purchase of the parts too.
Top 3 skills: Continuous improvement experience Design tooling experience is a must. CAD, Creo, Catia etc is fine. Assembly tooling. On machining side it is fixture small ones Experience with documentation of Standard work, Control plans, FMEAs etc MS office. Excel, ppt and word Project management experience is a plus Power Bi experience is a plus
Education/experience: College degree is a must. Mechanical or IE background is preferred 3-5yrs Masters is fine too
