Senior Director, Clinical Operations

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Director of Clinical Operations to lead strategic planning and execution of global Phase I-IV clinical trials. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across Phase I-IV clinical development programs
- Oversee study execution from start-up through closeout, ensuring compliance with timelines, quality, and budgets
- Lead CRO selection, contracting, and performance monitoring through governance and key metrics
- Manage site identification, feasibility, activation, enrollment, and retention strategies globally
- Direct line management, coaching, and career development for clinical operations staff
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading global clinical development programs across multiple phases
- Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional clinical operations initiatives
- Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA, and regional regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to develop and mentor high-performing clinical operations teams
- Experience with CRO selection, contracting, and performance oversight
- Track record of operational planning, budgeting, and risk management in clinical trials
