Requirements
- Current Washington State RN Licensure
- HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire
- Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred
- Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
- AAP NRP Advanced certification required for all RNs working in MBU prior to the end of orientation and renewed every 2 years
- ACLS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years
- STABLE course completion within 6 months of completing orientation, and renewed every 2 years (optional)
- AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course for all L&D RNs is required and must be obtained within 3 months of completing L&D training and renewed every 2 years

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and document patients' physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
- Implement care according to established procedures, policies, and care plans.
- Identify patient and family learning needs and provide education as required.
- Ensure the delegation and supervision of patient care activities for optimal outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and organizational policies.
- Engage in professional development to stay current with healthcare trends and practices.
