Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Forbes Best-in-State Employer, requiring cardiac drip experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Details

• 42-bed Cardio/Neurovascular Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• High-acuity patient population with cardiac and neurovascular cases
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00–07:00)
• 36 or 48 hours per week with block scheduling available
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact license currently in hand and in good standing (no pending applications)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 1–2 years of Med/Surg or high-acuity nursing experience required
• Dysrhythmia recognition and management experience required
• Experience administering cardiac drips required (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent employees of this facility are ineligible to apply for 10 years following their departure
• RTO requests of 3–5 days are preferred; maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract
• Flu and COVID vaccinations required; medical and religious exemptions are accepted
• Scrub colors: all navy, or navy bottoms with a white top
• Compliance documentation due one week prior to start
