IT Support Specialist

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking to hire a IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support to end users and ensures the reliable operation of IT systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for troubleshooting user issues, maintaining network connectivity, supporting workstation setup, and managing IT assets. The ideal candidate is responsive, detail-oriented, and capable of communicating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.Your essential job functions within User Support & Troubleshooting will include but may not be limited to:Provide Tier I/II technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issuesTroubleshoot and resolve user account issues Reset passwords and support identity/access management processesDiagnose and resolve workstation, application, and connectivity problemsYour essential job functions within Network & Systems Support will include but may not be limited to:Troubleshoot basic network issues including connectivity, switches, and routersSupport and monitor network devices and infrastructure for performance and availabilityAssist with maintaining secure and reliable network operationsYour essential job functions within Workstation Setup & Maintenance will include but may not be limited to:Set up, configure, and deploy desktops and peripheral devicesInstall and update operating systems, applications, and security patchesPerform routine maintenance and system upgradesYour essential job functions within IT Asset Management will include but may not be limited to:Track and manage IT equipment inventory (hardware and software)Maintain accurate asset records and lifecycle documentationManage and maintain the IT asset management database, including tagging equipment and performing any necessary data entryManage and maintain the IT asset management database, including tagging equipment and performing any necessary data entryCollect all necessary receipts and documentation for Business Operations ManagerDocument daily deliveries and shipments to update inventoryCreate and generate detailed reports regarding IT equipment inventoryEnsure 100% tracking, chain of custody, and safeguarding of all hardware inventory, shipments, and returns, including classified shipmentsYour essential job functions within Customer Service & Communication will include but may not be limited to:Provide professional, timely, and courteous support to all usersCommunicate technical issues and solutions clearly, both verbally and in writingDocument support requests, resolutions, and processes in ticketing systemsDevelop and maintain user guides and standard operating proceduresRequirements:3+ years of experience in IT support or help desk environmentExperience troubleshooting Windows-based systems and common business applicationsBasic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsDesired Requirements:Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+)Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management toolsFamiliarity with asset management systemsExperience supporting secure or regulated environmentsEducation Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.Clearance Requirements:TS/SCI or the able to obtain onePlease Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.#LI-LS1#mtsi#LI-Onsite
