About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Employment & Industrial Relations Lawyer to join a highly skilled Employment, Safety & Education team. This is an opportunity to work closely with a diverse portfolio of employer clients, providing practical legal advice and representation across a broad range of workplace, industrial relations and occupational health and safety matters.

You will work with clients across corporate, construction, mining, energy, aged care and education sectors, handling complex legal matters while developing strong client relationships and contributing to commercially focused solutions. Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review and advise on employment contracts, enterprise agreements and workplace policies.
• Develop employment frameworks, policies and practice manuals that support legislative compliance and workplace best practices.
• Provide advice on workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance, including major incident investigations and regulatory responses.
• Manage WHS complaints, investigations and prosecutions.
• Advise and represent employer clients in industrial relations matters, including industrial action, enterprise bargaining and dispute resolution.
• Manage responses to workplace, equal opportunity and employment-related claims.
• Advise on executive termination strategies, employment exits and negotiated settlements.
• Resolve workplace disputes across Federal and State jurisdictions, including unfair dismissal, unlawful termination, underpayment and discrimination claims.
• Develop practical, commercially aligned legal strategies and represent clients before the Fair Work Commission, tribunals and courts as required.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of post-admission experience as a lawyer.
• A background in employment and industrial relations law, with experience advising and representing employer clients on workplace-related matters.
• An interest in business development, networking and attending professional or industry events.
• A commitment to continuous learning, professional development and improving legal expertise.
• Strong attention to detail, sound technical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• A strong work ethic and dedication to professional excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
