About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Family Lawyer to join a highly regarded Family & Private Clients team within an established commercial law firm.

Working alongside a three-partner practice, you will manage a diverse range of family law matters, including divorce, property settlements, parenting arrangements, spousal maintenance, enforcement proceedings and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, property settlements, parenting disputes and spousal maintenance.
• Advise clients on complex parenting and children's matters, including relocation, parentage testing, surrogacy and adoption.
• Handle financial settlements, property division, maintenance claims and related negotiations.
• Draft and advise on binding financial agreements, superannuation agreements and maintenance agreements.
• Manage divorce and nullity applications, child support matters and child maintenance arrangements.
• Support clients through mediation, negotiation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Handle enforcement proceedings and develop practical strategies to resolve disputes.
• Build strong client relationships while working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve effective outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' post-admission experience in family law.
• Experience handling parenting and children's matters, including complex parenting disputes, relocation, parentage testing, surrogacy and adoption.
• Strong knowledge of financial settlements, property division and maintenance matters.
• Experience with binding financial agreements, superannuation agreements and maintenance agreements.
• Experience managing divorce, nullity, child support and child maintenance matters.
• Familiarity with mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
• Interest in business development, networking and attending professional events.
• Commitment to continuous learning, professional development and delivering high-quality legal work.
• Excellent attention to detail, technical skills and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team.
