The Service Advisor plays a critical role in managing customer interactions and ensuring smooth vehicle service operations within a small, dedicated team. This position involves coordinating vehicle inspections, preparing service estimates, tracking repair progress, and maintaining effective communication with customers mainly through in-person and phone/email channels. The Service Advisor uses third-party service management tools to facilitate scheduling and customer management, ensuring a seamless service experience.

 

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to gather service requirements and provide updates
• Schedule vehicle service appointments using specialized software tools
• Coordinate vehicle inspections and communicate findings
• Prepare accurate service estimates and explain them to customers
• Track repair progress and ensure timely completion
• Coordinate parts ordering and availability to expedite repairs
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in automotive service advisory
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic automotive knowledge
• Effective time management and appointment scheduling abilities
• Familiarity with appointment scheduling software
