Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the company's daily accounting and administrative functions. Primary responsibilities include posting customer payments, processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, entering data into QuickBooks, and providing general office support. The ideal candidate has hands-on QuickBooks experience, a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. This is a part-time, daytime opportunity offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer payments accurately in QuickBooks
• Create, enter, and process invoices
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records
• Reconcile payment information and assist with basic bookkeeping tasks
• Maintain organized filing systems for financial and office documents
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and manage general office communications

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Required: Previous experience using QuickBooks in a professional office environment
• Experience processing invoices, posting payments, and performing data entry
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, including accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and time-management skills

The base salary range for this position is $20.00/hr, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
