Title Hourly Research Analyst Department Biomedical Engineering Reports To Assistant Professor Position Type Staff Position Summary The Hourly Research Analyst will work in Dr. Amir Miri Ramsheh’s laboratory in the Bio‑Medical Engineering Department. The position is part‑time and has a tentative end date of July31,2025. Essential Functions Makes vocal fold tissue bioreactor for tissue growth under dynamic loading. Designs bioreactor versus microfluidics and programs a piezoelectric substrate. Tests bioreactor using hydrogels and human cells and optimizes growth parameters. Contributes to the overall laboratory goal of translating the proposed self‑healing hydrogel system and platform into otolaryngology clinics in the United States when the grant is completed. Prerequisite Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Biomedical Engineering. At the university’s discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position. Salary Information In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate for this position is $15.92 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
