Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting exceptional students in an elementary learning environment. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to provide instruction and care in an extended resource/self-contained classroom, serving K4–5th grade students. This position works collaboratively with a dedicated team: one teacher leads co- teaching/inclusion/resource, one focuses on K5 transition, and this key opening serves students with a range of needs—some attending all day, and others coming for targeted instruction in ELA and/or math.

You’ll have a manageable caseload of approximately 8-12 students with the help of a classroom assistant. Your expertise and creativity will empower these learners to thrive academically and socially. The contract runs from July 17 to June 2, giving you a full academic year to make a lasting impact.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (required)
• Experience in self-contained or resource room settings preferred
• Strong skills supporting both academic and behavioral needs
• Ability to individualize instruction for diverse learners
• Collaborative approach and effective communication with staff and families
• Passion for fostering a positive, inclusive environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student
• Deliver engaging instruction in core subjects and life skills
• Work closely with your classroom assistant and fellow educators
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies to ensure student success
• Provide direct instruction and support in ELA and/or math as needed
• Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive classroom climate
