Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity involves working with students from K4–5th grade in an extended resource/self-contained classroom. You’ll join a passionate team of four SPED educators, each focused on supporting unique groups of students, and will have an experienced assistant by your side.

Your classroom will serve 8–12 students, some of whom attend all day, while others join for targeted English Language Arts and/or math support. The role is a blend of resource and self-contained teaching, offering variety and the chance to tailor learning plans to individual needs. Additionally, you’ll benefit from the presence of a dedicated special education coach onsite at least one day each week, giving you resources and mentorship to further develop your skills.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with K-5 students with diverse needs
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort managing a range of academic, behavioral, and therapeutic supports

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with varying needs
• Collaborate with fellow SPED teachers and general education staff
• Work closely with an assistant to ensure a supportive classroom environment
• Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting plans as needed
• Communicate consistently with families to share updates and progress
• Maintain compliance with IEP documentation and regulatory requirements
