In this role, you’ll join Pinecrest Elementary, collaborating with a supportive team of two other Special Education Teachers in a nurturing school environment. You will take the lead in the extended resource/self-contained classroom for students from K4 through 5th grade. Some students remain all day, while others attend for targeted ELA or math support, working closely with 8-12 students and a dedicated assistant.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher credential/certification.
• Experience working with self-contained and resource classrooms, K-5 preferred.
• Ability to develop differentiated lesson plans based on IEPs.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, individualized instruction to K4-5th grade students in a self-contained/extended resource setting.
• Collaborate with a teaching assistant and other special education staff.
• Adapt curriculum and foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain and execute student IEPs, ensuring compliance and progress documentation.
• Engage with families and related service providers to support student success.
