This contract opportunity offers rewarding work within a supportive team, with positions available for the full school year at both a middle school and an elementary school near Blue Springs, MO. You'll play an integral part in student achievement, classroom management, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Active Substitute Certificate through DESE required
• Prior experience in schools, especially with classroom or behavioral support
• Willingness to undergo fingerprinting/background check (candidates are responsible for the $45 fee)
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work at multiple school sites as needed
• Able to adapt quickly to different classrooms and student needs
• Commitment to a full school year assignment (ending in late May)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in the classroom, assisting in instructional and non-instructional activities
• Provide attentive assistance to students, including those with behavioral or academic challenges
• Foster a cooperative, positive classroom environment
• Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, common areas, and during transitions
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Adapt to changing assignments or locations as directed by school administration
