We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our vibrant team. This is a permanent position, offering the opportunity to work within a fast-paced and innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable, providing monthly financials to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Document financial transactions by entering account information.
3. Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
4. Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
5. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
6. Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
7. Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
8. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
9. Secure financial information by completing database backups.
10. Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
11. Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
12. Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
13. Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
14. Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
15. Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
4. Strong understanding of accounting theory and principles.
5. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
6. Experience with a large ERP system is a plus.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
10. Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
11. Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment.
13. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
14. Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
15. Independent worker and analytical thinker with an ability to conduct research, data analysis, and resolve complex problems.
