Senior Java Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer III to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-grade Java applications. This position is best suited for a hands-on software engineer with a strong foundation in Java who can contribute throughout the complete software development lifecycle-from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.

The primary requirement for this position is 5+ years of professional Java development experience . Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, and modern cloud-native development practices will significantly strengthen candidate fit.

The successful candidate will work closely with architects, product owners, business analysts, developers, and other technology teams to build reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience

• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining enterprise Java applications

• Experience with modern Java versions such as Java 8, 11, or 17

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, application design, and software engineering principles

• Build and maintain Spring Boot applications and microservices.

• Integrate applications with internal systems, external APIs, messaging platforms, databases, and cloud services.

• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Build and support Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.

• Perform code reviews and promote software engineering standards and maintainable development practices.

• Diagnose application defects, production incidents, performance issues, and integration failures.

• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, security, product, and business teams.

The individual should be able to clearly explain applications they personally built, technical decisions they made, production problems they solved, and how their Java applications were tested, deployed, monitored, and supported.

Strong candidates should demonstrate technical depth through specific examples rather than simply listing Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Terraform, and Jenkins as technologies used by their team.
