Senior Data Engineer

Agility Partners is seeking a Data Engineer to support a client in the banking industry. This role focuses on building scalable, reliable data systems that enable analytics, reporting, and predictive insights. You’ll work hands‑on with modern cloud data platforms and partner closely with engineers, architects, and data scientists. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data management systems Develop and optimize SQL‑based data models and transformations using dbt Build high‑performance analytical solutions and support predictive use cases Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve data quality, reliability, and accessibility Ensure data systems align with business needs and industry best practices Qualifications: Technical degree or equivalent professional experience Strong experience with relational and non‑relational databases (SQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, MongoDB, Hadoop, etc.) Advanced SQL skills with hands‑on data modeling experience Experience using dbt for data transformation and pipeline development Background in data engineering or backend development (Java, J2EE, or similar) Familiarity with cloud‑based data platforms and modern data architectures Nice to have: financial services experience, regulatory reporting, or Power BI Why You’ll Love This Role: Work with modern data tools like Snowflake and dbt in an enterprise environment High‑impact role influencing how critical data is structured, governed, and used Collaborative team culture with strong partnerships across engineering and analytics Exposure to complex, real‑world data challenges within a regulated industry #J-18808-Ljbffr Agility Partners
