Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Driver Patrol in Irvine, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This driving post offers the chance to support shoppers, tenants, and staff through strong communication and customer service while reflecting a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points, observe foot traffic, and support property rules and visitor policies in a professional manner consistent with location expectations.
- Assist with addressing customer concerns, directing visitors, and coordinating with property management and/or public emergency responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
