Slip Ring Assembly Technician - Large Slip RingWe are seeking a Slip Ring Assembly Technician - Large Slip Ring to join our manufacturing team in Omaha. In this role, you will assemble complex electrical and mechanical components, interpret wiring diagrams and engineering drawings, and ensure high-quality production of custom slip ring products. This is an excellent opportunity to build your manufacturing and electrical assembly skills while working on custom-engineered products in a quality-driven environment.What You'll DoAssemble mechanical and electrical components according to engineering specifications.Install and connect wiring using diagrams and work instructions.Perform soldering, crimping, testing, and inspections.Read and follow work orders, BOMs, and engineering drawings.Ensure product quality and communicate any issues or discrepancies.Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED.Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Previous assembly, manufacturing, or electrical experience is a plus.Conductix-Wampfler offers a great starting wage, with health, dental, and life insurance, 401k plan, paid vacation/personal time and holidays, profit sharing and tuition reimbursement program.Assembles electrical and mechanical components according to information provided to produce a quality Slip Ring in a timely manner.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMechanical assembly of various size structural and electrical components.Electrical installations according to wiring specifications.Operates necessary tools, as listed on the job description, to aid in the assembly of slip ring products.Connects color-coded and numbered wires.Solders connections and crimps connectors to wire end.Tests and adjusts electrical assemblies.Understands inventory tools, such as work order, BOM, and TR cards.Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with a supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.Coordinates and communicates department needs with a supervisor.Responsible for the quality of the product being produced in the department.Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing offices' input to ensure customer final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines. Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments, so future product output is consistent with customer expectations.Understands, supports, implements, and sustains 5S program initiatives and goals.Supports and upholds the quality and EHS policy.Upholds the Core Values.Other duties may be assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Operating these machines is an essential function of this role. This certification program will assess proficiency in safe operation according to our company's standards and protocols.
