Systems Analyst – Data Management

As a systems analyst, you will setup and support new Licensee’s through Point-of-sale deployment for the Connect Program. Your duties will include adding information from stores into Simphony, postman, Kaseya, Vertex and other solutions, troubleshoot tickets within Service now and update all aspects of each licensee data including, API Keys, Certificates and Tax modules. This role requires experience performing requirements analysis and process improvement coupled with the ability to collaborate across various IT and business functions. In enhancing/supporting existing systems, an effective systems analyst contributes relevant technical, functional, and process knowledge to ensure a consistent user technology experience. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Daily Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Store Configuration Supports data gathering and setup of all store related objects. Performs the extract, load, and validation of converted data from systems necessary. Uses data queries to support validation of data conversion and test results. Works with other Vendors to gather information using the tools provided. Collaborates with other team members during high periods of work, to support the overall program. Effectively completes tasks on-time and as scheduled for roll out of the Connect Program.
• Production Support Participates in system support, working trouble tickets and escalating to teammates according to priority and required expertise queue, completing resolution within SLA. Develops system proficiency and builds subject matter expertise through root cause analysis. Coordinates issue resolution with vendors and/or cross-functional teams. Provides timely and thorough communication regarding issue status/resolution with end-users and team. Creates and maintains systems documentation (e.g. Wiki, Knowledge Base Articles). Uses query tools to write ad-hoc queries for mass data analysis and operational reports.
• Leadership Self-directed; is successful with minimal direction from more senior analysts providing escalation when necessary. Partners with business teams, responding quickly and thoroughly to issues and requests. Provides constructive input and perspective to team conversations. Must have pride in work and getting the job done.

Simphony experience – Oracle application or equivalent (e.g. Mircos, Aloha) Proficient with Excel and all Microsoft products Basic networking skills Retail experience - back end & Front of house (if possible) Possible experience at Starbuck as a barista or retail specialist Ability to document processes, clearly in both written and verbal form Jira/ Confluence experience Slack/Teams Postman/SQL/TOAD experience, ability to create Select statements and execute updates within Database applications
