Marketing Intern

Craftwork is building the premium brand in home services, backed by Y Combinator, Seven Seven Six, Slow Ventures, Forerunner Ventures, General Catalyst, and Lachy Groom. We're hiring someone to own a piece of our brand in the real world: the events, partnerships, and community moments that put Craftwork in front of homeowners, make people talk about us, and ultimately lead to won projects. This is not a typical internship. We're not hiring an intern to run errands for the marketing team. You get a budget and real freedom to go build. You pitch partnerships. You plan activations. You run the events. And when they work, you're compensated for the upside you create, not just the hours you put in. This is for someone who'd rather own a result than complete a task list. If you want a resume line that says "helped with," this isn't it. If you want one that says "built and ran," we want to talk to you. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Community Partnerships Build relationships with neighborhood organizations, local businesses, realtors, interior designers, and HOAs across your market, from cold outreach to executed events and partnerships. Pitch and close the partnerships. You're the face of Craftwork in these rooms. Turn partnerships into projects: track performance, kill what isn't working, double down on what is. Events and Activations Propose, plan, and run the community events and grassroots activations that get Craftwork's name in front of homeowners: things like pop-ups, neighborhood sponsorships, designer mixers, local partnerships with businesses homeowners already trust. You get a budget and the authority to spend it. Pitch the idea, get it greenlit, make it happen. Test scrappy, high-ROI ideas fast. If it works, do more of it. If it doesn't, move on. Special Projects Partner with the HQ team on high-impact projects. Bring curiosity, speed, and ownership to projects ranging from product to marketing to ops. Upside Your comp isn't capped at an hourly rate. You get paid on the deals that actually close out of your events and the communities you own, not just the leads you generate. The better you build and run your community and events, the bigger your upside. There's no ceiling on how much of your market you can own. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR An undergrad or grad student with a bias for action. You'd rather try something and be wrong than wait for permission. Someone who wants ownership, not oversight. You'll get direction and support, not a script. Comfortable pitching people, closing partnerships, and asking for the budget or the yes. Scrappy and resourceful. You can throw a great event on a real but limited budget. Data-driven enough to know what's working. Comfortable in Google Sheets; SQL or analytics tools a plus. Approachable and sociable with energy that makes people want to say yes to you, and to Craftwork. #J-18808-Ljbffr
