Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, every other weekend required (5-6 weekend shifts per contract), 13-20 week assignment available

• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of nursing experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required or ability to obtain
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, IV starts and maintenance, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with CVA (stroke) patients, isolation precautions, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
• Neuro experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to float to other units as needed (travelers float first)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information:

• Contract length: 13-20 weeks
• Pre-approved time off: Up to 7 days (no holidays or first week), must be requested prior to contract signing
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Scrub color: Navy blue (not provided)
• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events or disasters
• Pre-start online modules required (approximately 8-10 hours, non-billable)
• All onboarding testing must be completed within 48 hours after contract signing
• Local candidates accepted (different compensation rate may apply)
