Accounting Clerk Location: Plymouth, MN Position: Accounting Clerk Work Model: Hybrid with 3 days in office required per week Hours: Full-Time Compensation: $20 - $26/hr About The Company Our client is a growing and respected organization in Plymouth, Minnesota, seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their finance team. Position Summary The Accounting Clerk will support the day-to-day accounting operations by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial information. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Receivable Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments. Prepare and distribute customer invoices. Post payments, credits, and adjustments to customer accounts. Assist with collections and account follow-up as needed. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues. Data Entry & Record Maintenance Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system. Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records. Update vendor and customer account information as needed. Ensure data accuracy and compliance with company procedures. Reconciliations & Financial Support Assist with bank, credit card, and account reconciliations. Support month-end closing activities and reporting processes. Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation. Assist with audit requests and internal reporting needs. Administrative & Team Support Respond to vendor and customer inquiries in a professional manner. Assist with filing, document management, and record retention. Support finance team projects and process improvement initiatives. Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred. 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or clerical experience preferred. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Desired Skills & Competencies Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Dynamics, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms. Strong data entry and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
