Assistant Principal - Elementary
Reports to: Principal
Pay Grade: AP PG5/11 months
Primary Purpose: Assist the school principal in the overall administration of the instructional program and operations at the campus level. Coordinate assigned student activities and services.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Master's degree. Texas mid-management or Principal certificate. Certified appraiser in Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS). Valid Texas teaching certification.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Thorough understanding of school administrative operations Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Experience: Three years of experience as a classroom teacher

Deal sensitively and fairly with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Employ effective interpersonal skills.
Foster collegiality and team building among staff, encouraging their active involvement in decision making.
School/Organization Improvement:
Participate in collaborative processes to develop campus improvement plans with staff, parents and community members.
Assist principal in developing, maintaining and using appropriate information systems and records necessary for attainment of campus performance objectives and academic excellence indicators.
Assess and respond to needs related to job responsibilities.
