Experience: Prior experience in a hospital setting is required.
License: Must be certified PA (ASCP or department of an approved certifying agency).
Certifications: ASCP BOR certified.
Must-Have: Graduation from an NAACLS-accredited Baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate Pathologist Assistant Training program, or completion of a Bachelor's degree with a major/minor or equivalent in biological or allied health sciences.
Description: Performs gross examination of complex surgical specimens. Conducts dissection, description, and tissue sectioning of historical preparation. Performs specimen photography and radiography as needed.
