Litigation Legal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Legal Assistant to join a collaborative legal team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting attorneys in insurance defense and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven legal environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to assigned attorneys Manage attorney calendars, schedules, and deadlines Coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings Prepare, format, proofread, and process legal documents and correspondence Assist with case management and maintain organized electronic case files Coordinate communications with clients, attorneys, courts, and other parties Electronically file pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents Track case deadlines and ensure timely completion of assignments Assist attorneys with day-to-day case needs and administrative tasks Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Work independently while also collaborating with other legal support staff Provide additional support to attorneys and team members as needed Qualifications 3–5 years of legal assistant or legal secretary experience required Strong understanding of insurance defense litigation and legal terminology Experience supporting attorneys with active litigation caseloads Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems Experience with electronic filing and legal case management systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines Ability to work independently and take initiative Highly professional, dependable, and proactive Positive and team-oriented attitude Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff Health insurance Dental and vision insurance 401(k) / profit-sharing plan PTO Bonus opportunities The ideal candidate is an experienced insurance defense legal professional who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate an attorney’s needs.
