Job Description

Lincoln Public Schools is seeking Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to join their team. Qualifications: Have a high school diploma and complete paraprofessional qualifications. Able to complete a physical and meet all the functional job descriptions of the teacher assistant. Complete the requisite 40 hours of training, overseen by either a BCBA, BCaBA, or BCBA-D Undergo a background check within 180 days of submitting your completed RBT Certification Application Complete and pass the RBT Competency Assessment, in which an assessor observes and evaluates your performance of RBT tasks (in person, live via the internet, or through recorded videos) Complete and pass the RBT exam, which is comprised of 75 multiple-choice questions and assesses the applicant's knowledge of the RBT Task List Abide by the RBT Ethics Code This is a 185 day position Reports to: Principal and/or Director of Student Services Position Type: Full-time Job Categories: Special Education > Behavior Specialist / EBD Special Education > Mild/Moderate Disabilities Special Education > Special Education Assistant

Job Requirements

• Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the RBT: Under general supervision, the RBT will: Collecting data about students' behaviors through direct observation. Assisting program staff as directed with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans. Teaching students the specific behavior skills called for in treatment plans. Nurturing students' social skills. Support the school in measuring progress in a highly specialized program which could include but limited to preparing, entering, and updating all data related to students identified at the school. Support the school in assessment which could include but not limited to describing and recording students' behaviors in measurable terms. RBTs must also assist programs with assessment procedures, which vary depending on each student's behavioral needs. Support the school in skill acquisition which could include but not limited to supporting the creation of skill acquisition plans for the student and supporting the implementation procedures to encourage the student's acquisition of the desired skill. Support the school in behavior reduction in supporting the creation of behavior reduction plan and implementation of interventions and differential reinforcement procedures. Support the school with documentation and reporting Adhere to the professional conduct and scope of practice as outlined in the RBT Ethics code Maintain clear lines of communication and professional boundaries, and implement supervisors' feedback to improve your professional performance Citizenship, residency or work visa required
