Key Responsibilities\n

As the LCSW, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments to identify and address patients' emotional, social, and financial needs.

• Providing individual and group counseling that focuses on issues such as addiction recovery, adjustment, grief, and coping strategies.

• Collaborating closely with healthcare teams to design comprehensive treatment plans that promote patient well-being and continuity of care.

• Connecting patients to community resources and services upon discharge to ensure a seamless transition to life beyond the detox center.

• Offering emotional support and educational resources to patients and their families regarding treatment options and support networks.

• Participating in committees to share your expertise in social work and contribute to the improvement of patient care practices.

• Providing crisis intervention when needed, employing de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

• Maintaining precise and timely documentation in compliance with both hospital policies and the regulatory requirements of the state.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary patient population will include individuals undergoing detoxification from substance use, as well as their families. You will play a vital role in addressing not just the physical, but also the psychosocial challenges that come with recovery. This includes helping them navigate emotional turmoil, understanding the impact of their substance use on familial relationships, and fostering resilience in their support systems.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.
