TEMP-Lab/Research Support - Entrepreneurship Assistant

Job Summary The Entrepreneurship Assistant (EA) will conduct market assessment of the bio-emulsifiers technology and develop a report supporting the following elements of setting up a business: Primary Market Research (Customer discovery and validation) Industry Analysis/Secondary Market Research (Conducting IP analysis, SWOT & PEST analysis, and utilizing competitive forces model to study the market forces landscape that might affect startups) Business Model Generation / Applying Entrepreneurial Strategy Compass (ESC) to assess potential go-to-market strategies. Responsibilities Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in performing lab tests and experiments. Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records. Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations. May clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment. Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests. Perform other duties as assigned. The position requires 40 hours per week in the Summer and Fall 2026 semesters. The EA will: Attend training sessions on Lean Startup methodology. Conduct customer discovery interviews and perform other activities listed above in the position overview section. Attend weekly check-in sessions. Prepare and submit a final report summarizing the technology assessment and a 2‑minute summary video on technology assessed at the end of the program. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma Required Experience Up to two years of job‑related experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

This job requires working knowledge in the use of instrumentation and other lab equipment, laboratory processes and procedures specific to assigned lab. Skills in inventory management and the use of specialized computer applications is required.
