Family Assistant / House Manager - Del Mar, CA (AD)

Wonderful opportunity for an experienced, proactive, and highly organized  Family Assistant / House Manager to support a busy family in Del Mar, CA. This full-time, live-out position combines hands-on household management, family assistance, and administrative support in a casual and welcoming home environment.

The ideal candidate enjoys creating order, anticipating needs, and ensuring the home operates smoothly while providing flexible support to the family as needed.

A private family in Del Mar is seeking a dependable, resourceful, and service-oriented  Family Assistant / House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their residence and provide support with household management, family assistance, errands, and light administrative responsibilities.

This position requires someone who can take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and serve as a trusted right hand to the family. The successful candidate will be comfortable wearing many hats and will take pride in maintaining an organized and efficient household.

Schedule & Hours

• Full-time position

• Monday through Friday schedule

• Exact working hours to be determined with the family

• Some evening and weekend flexibility required as needed

Responsibilities

Household Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence.

• Maintain household organization and implement systems to ensure efficiency.

• Coordinate household vendors, service providers, and maintenance appointments.

• Manage household inventories and ensure supplies are fully stocked.

• Assist with seasonal projects and special household initiatives.

• Maintain household calendars and scheduling needs.

Family Assistance

• Provide support to family members as needed.

• Assist with children's schedules, activities, and logistics.

• Provide occasional pet care support and coordination.

• Help manage family appointments, reminders, and special requests.

• Serve as a reliable and flexible resource for the family's evolving needs.

Administrative & Home Office Support

• Assist with home office organization and administrative tasks.

• Coordinate appointments, service calls, and household projects.

• Manage correspondence, records, and household documentation as needed.

• Assist with research and special projects.

Errands & Household Support

• Run local errands and complete household shopping.

• Purchase groceries and household supplies as needed.

• Assist with laundry and clothing care.

• Coordinate deliveries and returns.

• Provide transportation support and driving assistance when necessary.

Staff & Vendor Management

• Oversee household service providers and vendors.

• Coordinate schedules and ensure work is completed to household standards.

• Communicate with contractors and vendors regarding projects and repairs.

• Assist with managing household personnel and outside service providers as needed.

• Previous experience as a Family Assistant, House Manager, Personal Assistant, or in a similar private service role preferred.

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and anticipate household needs.

• Professional, trustworthy, and highly discreet.

• Comfortable managing a variety of household and family responsibilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient with technology and comfortable learning new systems.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
