As a Security Officer Routine Patrol in Johnston, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. In this part‑time unarmed role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Details Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.44 / Hour Job Schedule: Fri: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM Sat: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns according to site guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as directed, and support visitor management practices for a fast‑paced technology‑focused location. Communicate with site contacts, local responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security‑related matters requiring follow‑up. Minimum Requirements CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post‑hire. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
