Pump Mechanic - 3243USA:TX:Houston | Shop & Field Service Support | Full-TimeDescriptionThe Pump Mechanic will repair/fabricate a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, gear reducers and related rotating equipment, troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect and repair a variety of rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps (both single and multi-stage), gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and metering pumps, gear reducers, blowers (both vacuum and pressure), mechanical seals, and many other types of equipment.Responsibilities of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to:Assemble centrifugal pumpsBalance impellers and complete rotating assembliesInstalling equipment using manufacturing specifications ensuring proper alignment balance and tolerancesRead and understand IOM and BOMMaintain safe operations by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for mechanical challengesUse overhead crane, forklift and manliftInspect TIR of components when requiredQualifications of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to:Previous experience working with API centrifugal pumps/rotating equipment is preferredAbility to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instrumentsDemonstrated ability to work safely and follow safety procedures and regulationsBackground check, physical, and drug test requiredMust be self-motivated and able to work unsupervisedAdditional Information:Physical Demand: Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
