Kitting Technician

Location: Hanover, MD
Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented and dependable Kitting Technicians to join a growing manufacturing operation in Hanover, MD. This role focuses on assembling and preparing kits of pre-fabricated copper components to support production and customer orders. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to identify and address quality concerns in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and organize pre-fabricated copper components into kits according to work instructions and production schedules
• Inspect parts for quality issues such as defects, damage, or inconsistencies prior to kitting
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all kits before release to production or shipment
• Handle and organize small-to-medium sized components with precision and care
• Follow detailed instructions, bills of materials, and job order requirements
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations
• Label, package, and stage finished kits appropriately
• Record production data and report discrepancies or shortages
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel
• Support inventory control efforts, including counting and tracking materials
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assembly, kitting, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Basic understanding of quality control processes is a plus
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Light to moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Frequent use of hands for handling small parts and components
• Standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
• Manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to noise and production activity
• Use of PPE as required, including safety glasses and gloves
