About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required. License: Must have an active state license to apply or be in the application process. Certifications: BLS & NIH required. Must-Have: PICC line management experience. Experience with starting IVs. Previous charge experience preferred. Cerner experience preferred. Description: Position: Med Surg RN. Shift: Nights with a start time of 18:45. Work schedule: 3 shifts per week in a 23 bed unit. Weekend requirement: Will work every other weekend. Floating: Will float as needed within the scope to meet facility needs. Scheduling: Open to accommodating block schedules. Cancellations: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment. Special patient population includes those with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIA, subdural hematomas, brain masses, seizures, and other neurological disorders. Medications administered include levetiracetam, lorazepam, aspirin, lovenox, heparin, antihypertensives, plavix, atorvastatin, and eliquis. Special procedures performed may include electroencephalograms (EEG) and lumbar punctures. Special equipment utilized: Drips such as heparin; amiodarone and Lasix are not titrated. Daily census includes adults and geriatric patients. Patient diagnoses are varied and include back and neck surgeries, craniotomies, and neurological disorders. This position requires the management of various treatments and procedures related to patient care.
