Associate Attorney

*Overview*

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our collaborative and growing practice. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career attorney who is eager to develop strong litigation and case management skills while working closely with experienced attorneys. Associates play a key role in advancing cases, producing high-quality legal work, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Our firm represents employers and insurers in matters involving workers’ compensation, employment law, business disputes, insurance defense, and OSHA defense.

*Responsibilities*

* Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests, and motions
* Review, analyze, and organize case-related documents
* Manage multiple case files and monitor deadlines to ensure timely progression of matters
* Conduct legal research and summarize findings clearly and effectively
* Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other professionals
* Develop and manage a growing caseload with guidance from senior attorneys
* Collaborate with attorneys and staff in a team-oriented environment
* Perform additional duties as assigned to support client representation and firm operations

*Qualifications*

* Active license to practice law in Oregon or Washington
* Dual licensure in Oregon and Washington is strongly preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong academic credentials
* Well-developed research, analytical, and organizational skills
* Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

*Preferred Skills and Experience*

* Familiarity with legal dictation software or dictation practices
* Coursework, internships, clinics, or experience in Workers’ Compensation (Oregon and/or Washington)

*Working Environment*

* Professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, telephones, copiers, scanners, and related technology
* Required onsite with possibility of Hybrid option after initial training period

*Essential Functions*

* Ability to perform sedentary work involving sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods
* Ability to communicate effectively, including normal visual acuity, hearing, and speaking
* Ability to understand and communicate in English
* Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
