Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years of ICU experience required; Neurosurgery experience preferred License: RN license required Certifications: BLS + ACLS required (AHA only) Must-Have: - ICU experience required - Epic experience required - Telemetry test must be passed prior to clearance Description: Evening/Night shift with every other weekend and some holidays required. If requesting off for a scheduled weekend, you may be scheduled on a contingent weekend. Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient population. The role involves care for adult patients with a variety of neurology, neurosurgical, and stroke conditions. Conditions may include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysm, and other neurovascular diseases. Utilize strong critical thinking skills and provide interventions such as vasoactive drips and hemodynamic monitoring. Perform procedures like managing central lines, administering blood products, and caring for ventilated patients. The patient population typically consists of adults and geriatrics with a daily census of approximately 12. You will work on a unit supporting both IMC and ICU levels of care. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes various support services. The environment is dynamic, focusing on expert care for neuroscience conditions. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to providing quality patient care in a critical setting.
