Service Advisor

Description Vortex Doors, America’s highest quality and most customer-centric commercial and industrial door repair company, is seeking a motivated Commercial Door Estimator to join our company. We are considering applicants with at least 4+ years of door industry experience . Responsibilities Work with Customers to provide accurate and suitable products and services to meet their needs Follow up on leads provided and look for new opportunities, looking for ways to generate business and new leads Work with the Team Leader and Service Manager to achieve sales goals Follow up on all pending Service Quotes in a set time frame Provide some technical training to Service Technicians Manage and order shop and truck materials as needed Assist in Customer job scheduling and project management Provide the best Vortex experience possible Build valuable relationships with all Customers, including key accounts Always promote Vortex positively Using lead generation tools, identify commercial and industrial construction projects that may require overhead doors, initiating contact with the general contractor and/or architect to gather project information and provide information on our products and services. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for new construction projects. Complete cost estimates within bid date/time. Present and explain the benefits of our services to potential clients. Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets. Provide excellent customer service by following up on leads, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining long‑term relationships. Collaborate with the service and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of services and customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in the CRM system. Requirements Clear communication: It is essential that you have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written form Effective listening: Listening is the key to effective communication. Without the ability to listen carefully to what a Customer is saying, the message could be easily misunderstood and misinterpreted Results driven and passionate about selling: Be passionate about the products and services we provide and strive to provide what’s best for the Customer and the Company Interpersonal skills: Balance Customer’s and Company’s needs to make sure that the Customer is satisfied, and build a reputation as a person who is consistent and direct while still seeking to be helpful Warranty qualifications, (save a warranty)(manage warranty calls) Qualification: 2 years as a Service Technician level IV or 2 years as CSR II To maintain operational consistency and ensure excellent customer service, Service Advisors are expected to adhere to the following attendance and sick leave guidelines of 5 days or less required. Consistent punctuality is required Support daily review procedures. What you should have Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as work instructions and procedure manuals Ability to speak effectively and interact with team members and leadership Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in a situation Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn A good driving record with valid driver's license Experience in field service Experience in sales and customer service Work Conditions Full‑time shifts are available between Vortex business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday and must be able to work some overtime and on‑call hours. Continuous on‑going training provided as you continue to grow with Vortex. The job environment is fast paced and results oriented.
