Additional information about LSI is available at are looking for a Senior Accountant to support our team at our corporate location in Cincinnati, Ohio.Summary:The senior accountant position is responsible for serving as a team leader in the finance and accounting department and ensuring that the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the division and organization as a whole. Prepares financial reports and demonstrates successful application of accounting principles in analysis of financial information.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and enter payroll journal entries from payroll system, also uses payroll reports to create and maintain various rosters, lists, and worksheets used for management analysis, accruals, government reporting, etc.Prepare analysis/support for and enter any/all journal entries.Prepare financial reports and account reconciliations.Maintain fixed asset files.Prepare monthly trend analyses reports for review.Compile sales and use tax returns data for review.Perform monthly billing of invoices for the engineering department. Enter all miscellaneous invoices.Assist with the development of forecasts and rolling budgets.Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and COSO 2013 compliance procedures.Serve as backup for selected Controller responsibilities. Assist with accounts payable and billing responsibilities, when needed.Represent LSI Industries in the most positive manner with prospective, current and former employees, clients, suppliers, and the community we serve.Interact professionally and effectively with a diverse group of employees and customers.Learn and practice standard operating procedures.Maintain prompt and regular attendance based on the work hours established by managementHandle confidential information with tact and discretion.Other duties as assigned.Education AND/OR Experience:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CPA designation preferred.
